Pathfinders are the guides and trackers who can speed up a journey with a shortcut, or find secret caches of Water of Life that would otherwise be overlooked.

Rarely lost, pathfinders are absolutely essential for any long journey. It is the pathfinders (sub-classes included) who are the only ones who can use the global map function.

Pathfinders usually learn the bow, so they can strike at a distance from hidden spots. This gives all pathfinders a chance for a surprise attack.

The following three classes are sub-classes of pathfinder:

Ranger

Finding your way around is one thing, but it's another to really connect with the land itself and the animals that live there. Enter the ranger. Rangers can befriend animals and even have one as a companion. That companion might simply be a pet, loyal to the ranger, but could be anything as big as a bear who will actually fight alongside the ranger.

Scout

Scouts are almost impossible to surprise and can find shortcuts better than any of the other pathfinders. Scouts were employed heavily during the war that took place many years ago and the training and traditions persist to this day.

Rogue

Rogues are the outsiders to the whole hero equation. They are less scrupulous, but handy to have around for a number of reasons. Although somewhat untrustworthy, rogues can provide many of the same benefits as other pathfinders along with one or two tricks of their own.
