Gameplay Beginnings

The world of BubbleTopia

Village of Balasa

Balasa is a small village with a population of about 60-70. Most of the inhabitants are mundanes that the players will never interact with, basically wallpaper. It is a low-tech village with thatched roofs, a few fields and a small, town square that boasts a statue.

There once was an impressive castle but now lies in disrepair and is used as a shelter for dragons and a few village inhabitants.

The Castle of Balasa was once an impressive structure containing a fountain with Water of Life flowing freely, but has since run dry.

Yorta the wise woman who takes care of orphan dragons, provides the welcoming of the new players to the village as well as information as to what is needed for players avatars to get started.

Yorta explains the need for the Water of Life and gives the player the first few introductory missions, which should allow the players to familiarize themselves with the mechanics of the game and how to interact with NPCs and what to do with Water of Life.

Key townsfolk of Balasa:

Euxine โ€“ town healer โ€“ will patch up wounded characters using Water of Life

Pretka - the merchant โ€“ will sell beginner items such as a satchel, utility harness, tunic, basic waterskin, etc.

Hapovi - the trader โ€“ will allow character to trade in loot for coin.

Werner - the smith โ€“ can make and sell metal items

Trennil โ€“ the tanner โ€“ can make and sell leather goods

Ulipa โ€“ the seamstress โ€“ can make and sell cloth goods

NPCs โ€“ Non-player characters are assigned as NFT characters and can be purchased or earned from BubbleTopia's marketplace store or on secondary markets (Opensea) ( each bubble has approximatley 30-40 different NPC NFT Characters to choose from with different rarities power and usefulness in the game.

NPCs will join a player (3 warrior NFTs required to begin) in order to get used to what each of them is good for. The available NPCs will join the hero as called for each mission. Eventually, the player will have multiple NPCs in tow and know how to use them.

For the full party experience, the player should end up with the three classes of NPC to compliment the characterโ€™s class, no doubles.

Sheba the healer โ€“ casts healing and a few defensive spells

Rhymon the pathfinder โ€“ improves movement speed and search rolls/times

Haldin the warrior โ€“ absorbs and dishes out damage

These NPCs will not be kept when the player moves on to the next bubble, but future incarnations of them will be seen later and they will have specialized.
